Selling scrap
Who buys it?
Local scrap dealers and recyclers listed in the app, each publishing their own rates per kilogram for newspaper, cardboard, plastic, metal, e-waste, used cooking oil and more.
How does a sale work?
- Filter by material, compare buyers by distance or rate, and check each buyer's minimum quantity.
- Tap Request sale and choose pickup or drop-off, whichever that buyer offers, with a date and time.
- At the handover, show your QR code. The buyer scans it and records the weight.
- Check the record and confirm it, or say it doesn't look right.
How am I paid?
Directly by the buyer, in cash or by UPI, at the handover. EarthReheal doesn't collect waste, and you pay nothing to EarthReheal. Every kilogram you sell is added to your offset.

Donating
Donate offers three routes:
- Donate to a registered partner →: choose a nearby partner, describe the item and arrange pickup or drop-off. The partner confirms receipt, so the donation counts as verified.
- Log donation: record something you already gave elsewhere.
- Find donation points near me.
The Neighbours board
Neighbours is a local board for things that are too good to throw away. Post an item to give away, sell, lend or request, and choose who sees it: your building, your society, your area or your ward.
Your phone number stays private. When someone asks about your item, you see their message and decide whether to Share contact or Decline. Only if you accept do you both see each other's number to arrange the handover. Any money is settled between the two of you, outside the app. Items you pass on count towards your offset once you mark them handed over.
Not sure what to do with something?
Open Decide and search for the item: an old phone, expired medicines, a mattress. The app ranks the best options, from repair and donation to sale and recycling. The Seg. guide tab tells you how to sort anything that genuinely has to go in the bin.
